View Full Version : Empire Circuit 2014 Stage 2 - Oneida NY - (partial) post-rotation!

11-04-2013, 08:46 PM
No FFG era cards (any five point non-Red Horizon cards) may be included in your deck. Your deck must be built entirely from Red Horizon or later.

So, no cards from the following:

- Soul Calibur IV: Tower of Souls
- Shadowar
- Tekken 6
- Soul Calibur IV: Quest of Souls
- 5-point promos from anything other than Red Horizon

The only cards in your deck should be

- Red Horizon
- 5-point promos from Red Horizon
- 6-point cards (Tides of Vengeance, various promos)
- Cards with the KoFXIII or RoT watermarks (KoF XIII, Ruler of Time, various promos)
- Champ card batch 1

Date: Saturday, December 7
Time: 2:15PM
Format: See above :)
Entry: $10

114 Madison St.
Oneida , NY , 13421
Phone: 315-363-2448

The venue closes at 9, so we may wind up doing some part of top cuts at a restaurant or the like~

Points thus far:

Ryan Field - 5

Jack Hale - 4

Kevin Broberg - 3
Cassy Shaw - 3

Jared Bohizic - 2
Nick Ganzer - 2
Sean O'Brien - 2
Christine O'Brien - 2

anyone else who attended EC Long Island - 1

And remember, at the end we're going to do a top 6 draft to determine the winner, so you don't need to be at the absolute top to be in it :) Each player's lowest finish will get dropped / used for tiebreakers, second tiebreaker will be number of wins, then number of 2nd place finishes, etc.

Say something sooner? You both knew about this three weeks ago.

and i asked on the post what people thought of it and no one spoke up.

I thought from the Facebook post for the event that we were leaning to a Straight post rotation with no previous cards.

Place my valid argument. There is more then enough cards to play RED Horizon forward, and I never like the Idea of doing "custom formats" for events, especially for deck building purpose like but able to use up to 8 cards from current standard.

The TO has agreed to no FFG cards on the Facebook thread.

11-22-2013, 09:55 AM
Bumping since it's the next event in the pipeline :)

12-01-2013, 05:21 PM
Less than a week to go!

12-02-2013, 07:33 AM
so as a TO i can decide what sets are legal for major events that i run?

12-02-2013, 08:46 AM
If its not officially Jasco sanctioned then yes, of course.

12-02-2013, 09:23 AM
well i know if its not sanctioned i can do whatever i want,...is this a PTC or something?

12-02-2013, 09:48 AM
No. We run an unsanctioned series of events in New York state and surrounding areas. Points are accumulated, and Rochester CCG sponsors a plane voucher for whomever wins at the end. Its mostly to give players in the area some drivable events to go to. The expectation of a big tourney in six weeks can help keep small playgroups going, and its more fun besides.

12-02-2013, 10:16 AM
gotcha, i like that and we do that locally, i run all sorts of fun special events, i was just wondering mostly because a lot of our guys in the playgroup are starting to look at travelling to major events, us vets have been trying to explain to our new players what a major UFS event is like lol, so they are interested in going to some stuff. thanks for the info :)

Next event:

January 25th - Wappingers Falls, NY
Format: We're tossing around possibly doing teams, but if we feel like we might get more for singles we could do that. Either way, it will be the first standard event with NeoMax :)

12-12-2013, 07:26 PM
Nobody knows who Jared Bohizic is, so naturally, nobody seems to care :P

12-12-2013, 07:39 PM
Organized Play is actually a pretty bad place to put event results, a lot of people never come in here -.-' But it's cheesy to make a new thread in General just for one post. It's better to do when you're reporting round by round.

12-13-2013, 09:04 AM
Well, I was making a joke about myself, but nevermind I suppose lol. Anyway, it was a hard fought battle but I think practice and deck tuning won this in the end rather than anything else. I had been working on that Nehtali for more than a month and practicing it against unrestricted decks that held all kinds of FFG insanity in them. That and Zealot Rush with Pennate Guard makes Nehtali extremely dangerous. I can't wait to see what NeoMax has in store for her.

I had no idea this was your forum name :D I figured you were just some random poking fun

12-13-2013, 02:02 PM
Yup, just me hanging out on the forum, trolling about.
